Aircraft Maintenance and Fall Protection

People working at heights are protected by their local Height Safety Regulations. Traditionally, providing safe access for aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul has challenged fall protection engineers with a near impossible task due to the variable heights, lengths and widths of the many different types of aircraft.

Hangar space is not always available and overhead fall protection is not feasible out on the flight line .Overhead cable-based fall arrest systems are often used for accessing the wings and fuselage, however it is not always possible to use this type of system due to overhead cranes and the difficulty in positioning different aircraft types relative to the system.

Wingrip can be used as a single fall protection anchor point on the wings, fuselage and stabilizers or, alternatively, can be connected in series with a horizontal lifeline to cover the entire wing span.
