8mm Cable has very small area on which dust and debris can settle. Shuttle “sweeps” the cable each time it passes over the cable. Not susceptible to hangups caused by dust-debris.

Dust and Debris Build-Up (Interior Systems) - With old-style trolley beams, the horizontal flanges of the I-beam gather dust and debris which can cause the trolley to drag behind the user causing a dangerous situation known as a Swing Fall. It is not uncommon for old-style beam trolleys to trail behind the user 10' or more due to the friction caused by dust and other debris on the beam. This condition results in high maintenance costs as a result of the requirement to clean the beams in order to provide a safe work environment. If your environment is dusty or dirty, consider the Flexible Lifeline or FlexRail Systems.

Simply wipe away the snow and ice to provide access to the aircraft skin. The unit has even been tested on de-icing fluid.

Outside Hangar - Placement of mobile access platforms may be hindered by snow and ice on the ground. If placement is not an issue, platforms provide safe access to the aircraft’s elevated surfaces outside and in inclement weather conditions where you need fall protection the most. Platforms do not prevent slips and falls on the elevated surfaces of aircraft.

Old-Style Trolley Beams with their single beam do not allow the users to bypass each other resulting in decreased productivity, higher costs over the lifetime of the system and decreased safety. When users must pass each other, rather than climb down the aircraft and swap retractables, the users have a tendency to unhook while on top of the aircraft and swap trolleys resulting in the potential for a double fall. Installing parallel beams is usually not economically feasible. If bypass is required, consider the Flexible Lifeline or FlexRail Systems.
