Dust and Debris Build-Up (Interior Systems) - With old-style
trolley beams, the horizontal flanges of the I-beam gather
dust and debris which can cause the trolley to drag behind
the user causing a dangerous situation known as a Swing Fall.
It is not uncommon for old-style beam trolleys to trail behind
the user 10' or more due to the friction caused by dust and
other debris on the beam. This condition results in high maintenance
costs as a result of the requirement to clean the beams in
order to provide a safe work environment. If your environment
is dusty or dirty, consider the Flexible Lifeline or FlexRail
Systems. |

safety. When users must pass each other, rather than climb
down the aircraft and swap retractables, the users have a
tendency to unhook while on top of the aircraft and swap trolleys
resulting in the potential for a double fall. Installing parallel
beams is usually not economically feasible. If bypass is required,
consider the Flexible Lifeline or FlexRail Systems. |
